HP Z640 - Getting NVME SSD to Work

Guys,

I am getting a refurbished z640 with a Xeon E5-2687 v4 with 64 GBs of DDR4 Ram.
I want to get a NVME SSD but am confused / flooded with reading the guides.

Wth regards to your HP z640 Upgrade Guide, pls help clarify;

- the part number HP NVME M.2 SSD PCIe Adapter (741624-001) vs 742006-003 ?
- Will non HP PCIe adapters work ?

Either of those options will work or you can use a generic nvme to pcie adapter.
