Dell Precision T3610 - question about power pin connectors

hi guys... total hardware noob here. I'm just trying to make sure that I understand my hardware correctly. the circled component is an extra 8 pin power connector that I can use to power gpus, correct?

Yes, that's a power connector for a video card. it's usually labeled "VGA" and/or black for video cards or "CPU" and/or white for motherboard use.

I'm ya man, check out my first post. This whole type of issue is why I'm here! While you may not like the complex a grueling solution I chose for myself, you may like alternative solutions I can offer about DELL Precision T3610 and main component power/PSU solutions. Lemme know..
