DEll T7810

Post by josemontalvo7 »

I need to move the Dell T7810 to a new case to be able to add more GPUs. Is there a case I can get that would fit all components? I would like to have a computer to be as quiet as possible. The computer is on 24/7. I have not done liquid cooling and don't live near anyone that has done this before. I would like everything to be air-cooled.

What are some good silent CPU Heatsinks that would fit a dual setup?

What GPU should I get for Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence training models?

Which Power supply would be sufficient to handle GPU for computers and Multiple GPUs for machine learning? I'm thinking on the Corsair RM1200x Shift Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - Modular Side Interface - ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 Compliant - Zero RPM Fan Mode - 105°C-Rated Capacitors - 80 Plus Gold Efficiency - Black

Which Case fits all items with good ventilation and at least one 5.25" External bay, prefer 2 or more. I have one ICY DOCK 6 Bay 2.5 SAS/SATA SSD/HDD & Ultra Slim Optical Disk Drive CD DVD ROM Backplane Enclosure for External 5.25" Bay | ToughArmor MB606SPO-B. and would install more if possible for my SSD pool and SSD Cache. Part Link

I currently have an H200 RAID Controller Card PCI E 6Gbps HBA LSI 9211 P20 IT Mode ZFS FreeNAS unRAID RAID Expander. I am willing to upgrade this part if needed as well.

Only if really needed to i can go with a 4U case to make sure all fits and is well-ventilated. If 4u Case, i would like for it to have as many 5.25 external bays to max out storage capability with hot swap bays. I don't have a rack so it would be on the desk this is why is important to be quiet.

Thank you in advance

Sorry for the late reply. Your need to upgrade the case in the 7810 is not possible. That motherboard is designed for that case and that case alone.
You can ditch the 7810 and move to a 7910. Get a barebones one and you can use all the components out of your 7810. Or you can buy a supermicro dual CPU e-atx motherboard for 2011-3. That can be mounted in any large tower with eatx mounting patterns.
