Speaking for myself, I'm aware of what was lost (it was a blow to me and others as well when we realized what happened, we were mods not admins on the old forum). Right now there is a 3 day backup rotation since the inception of the new forum and myself and a couple others are now monitoring things for JBigticket here. With rolling backups and more control, there shouldn't be any reason for a repeat on what happened.
I know it sucks, but all that can be done now is slowly rebuild what was lost.
