hello green pc ive been watching all your videos and reading your guide.
i decided after your guide to buy a 850w upgraded from my 685w psu
and i also bought a eva 1080ti 11gb upgraded from my gtx 1080 but when i powered it on
it was getting really hot over 90 degrees so i figured my 685 wasnt enough
now that i have the 850w new came in today im wondering if it still wont work because
i only have one 8pin to 8+6 pin dedicated gpu slot.. i tried the cpu2 slot and bought a 10pin to 6+2
but when i hook that specific cpu power it blinks orange and wont turn on at all .. as soon as i remove
the cpu power it turns on ... is there a power board thats made for this 850 with 2 gpu ports?
i found a guy on reddit making home made ones but its sketchy and 100 bucks plus shipping please help me i only started this build cause i watched your videos!! ty

As far as I know, the Dell 5810 only has 2 power supply options: 425W and 685W. I haven't heard of an 850W power supply for the 5810.

Whatever 10 pin harness you bought was wrong. Don't use it again. You are shorting out your computer.

The 8 pin VGA connector on the power distribution board is good for 18 amps. The 10 pin is an eps connector. Its wired different. It contains 2 18 amp rails in it when used with the 685 or I thought it was an 825w PSU. I have both at home. I made my own 10 pin to 8 pin harness and bought an 8 pin to 8 pin for the VGA connector. I've ran a 2080ti overclocked no problem in a 5810. But you need to utilize both pdb connections and they need to be wired correctly

Hi
The 825 Watt power supply has part number 0W1FJK (W1FJ), there are some on ebay at the moment.

Thanks
Andy
