Anyone know what size it is? I did see on one site that it is m2x3. Can any one confirm before I trek to the the hardware store or Amazon.

What hardware are you using this screw on? Usually if Dell listed a specific m2 screw, in your case a m2x3, then that's what's needed. Laptops can sometimes be picky...
for the cost, i would recommend getting a general scew assortment like this:

It's less than $7 USD and covers almost all and future needs for those types of screws.
